St Lucia - AKA Paradise

The very next day after our wedding we were off to St. Lucia. We flew to Dallas, then we stayed overnight in Miami. Monday afternoon we arrived in St. Lucia. The ride to our resort was a little rough to say the least. They drive like maniacs over there. The roads are tight, cars attempt to pass other cars when it clearly isn't safe to do so, and they love to honk their horns. Luckily our driver let us stop to get a beer to drink while we drove over an hour to get to our resort. But the scary ride was worth it, once we got to our resort.....we were in heaven!

Once we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that we had been upgraded to a honeymoon suite...courtesy of Sandals. We had our very own pool. Our pool was a little cold and didn't get much sun, so we didn't use it much, but it was still very nice to have.

Here is how we spent most of our days. I was on the raft and Josh would be walking me around in the pool. In this picture we just happened to land at the swim up bar....what a coincidence! Thanks to all these hours in the sun, I now have a tan!

Here we are on the 2nd night of our honeymoon eating dinner and posing for the camera man. This restaurant was called "The Piton" which is also the name of the local beer. It served Caribbean style food.

Here we are on the boat getting ready to go snorkeling.

In our snorkel gear. I love this picture because Josh is so tall, so his life jacket looks like a belly shirt....haha.

For our final day Josh wanted to rent a private cabana and just relax. I wasn't too excited about it at first, because I wanted to sunbathe, but it actually was so relaxing. We had our own private butler that brought us food and drinks. It was so wonderful!

For our final night in St. Lucia we had a private candlelight dinner on the beach. It was so romantic. They had menus with our meals and names printed out. We ate our tasty meals and sipped on champagne while we were on the beach all by ourselves. It was unbelievable!

Our honeymoon was without a doubt, the best vacation either of us have ever had!

Now I am sure that many of you are wondering about who was taking care of the doggies while we were gone? Well my cousin's girlfriend Lauren was generous and house sat for us, and we had Craig stopping by daily to give them a little extra love. The only sad thing about the honeymoon was being away from our dogs (especially my Bailee). But they are very glad to have us home.

Our Wedding Day!!!!

The day of our wedding - Josh was at his parents house with the guys, and I was at home with the girls. The men were in charge of taking the flowers over to the ceremony and reception cite, and after that....I am not exactly sure what they did the rest of the day. As for the girls, we were at my house. We watched movies, ate, and got our hair and make-up done. Overall, it was a pretty relaxing morning.
Me and my sis, as we were waiting for the very late limo driver.

This is one of my very favorite pictures of the night. Me and Gage during the reception. He was a great groomsmen!

Me and Xander during the money dance.

This is another favorite picture of the night. It isn't too often that you will see Josh and his father dancing together.

Josh and the Delgado women during the money dance. Josh seems very happy to be dancing with so many women.

During the beginning of the reception, I was so busy with wedding duties, that I barely had a chance to drink....luckily my girls from work helped me out and bought me a shot!

Me and Josh during the garter toss. I don't ever remember being so embarrassed in my whole life!

The wedding turned out great, and we are so grateful to everyone who was able to be a part of our day and helping to make it so special. These are just the pictures that we had on our camera....so stay turned for the professional pictures.

Out of Town Dinner Party

The Friday night before the wedding, we hosted a dinner party at our house for our out of town guests. We had great mexican food and we used this time to get caught up and spend some quality time together before the hectic wedding day. We had a good turnout.....My Uncle Nels and his wife June, My step-father Robert and his daughter Hailey, my good friends Bryan and Shara and their adorable children Xander and Xoey, and one of my other good friends, Greg.
Unfortunately I did a horrible job of taking pictures that night, but I do have a couple good ones.
Here is Xander going in and out of the doggie door. He also was playing in the dog house that evening.
Xoey is just the sweetest little thing. She was having a good time. She was a little afraid of the dogs at first, but she warmed up to them by the end of the night.
Here I am talking to all of my guests and having so much fun.

A big thanks to everyone who made it. It was so great getting to see everyone!

Rehearsal Dinner

We held our rehearsal dinner on Thursday at The Castaway. It was a nice day...not too hot.

We got to The Castaway a little early, so we decided to have some drinks before the rehearsal started.

Just relaxing with some drinks before we practice.

Here are me and my brother practicing our walk. It was so wonderful to have him here with me to give me away.

Josh and I walking as we do our final walk through before the big day.

Craig enjoying a beer as he watches all of us.

Here we are during dinner with our bridal party, having a blast.

Here is the big group. We had a private room at The Castaway just for us, so we got to enjoy our friends and family without other distractions (and the food was amazing).

Craig and Val are all smiles at the rehearsal dinner. A big thanks to them for hosting the rehearsal dinner!!
