Lady Antebellum Concert

About a week ago we went to the Lady Antebellum concert at Nokia. It was AMAZING!

Josh got us terrific tickets! We were 11 rows away from the stage. These were the best concert tickets we have ever had.

Craig and Val joined us, and we had so much fun.

Concerts are one of our favorite things to do, so I was very happy to see my favorite band again.

My Halloween Angel

I will start this blog by saying I am one of those crazy ladies who loves to dress up her dog. This year Bailee was an Angel. For anyone who knows Bailee, they know that this is far from the truth. Bailee is always up to something.

Bailee is a good sport about being dressed up, but when I put hats on her, she draws the line. She will just stand and act like she is frozen and can't move until I finally take it off.

PETA, please don't call me, she only had to wear the hat long enough to take this cute picture, and then I let her free for the rest of the evening.

Livin the Dream

Everyday I am jealous of my dog.....is that normal? After a tough day of playing ball and guarding the house, Bailee can't just lay on the couch, she must lay on the pillows and the blankets on the couch.
I am pretty sure life doesn't get better than that!

Wedding Cake

A couple of weeks ago, Josh and I were looking in our freezer and found the top tier of our wedding cake that was saved! We had totally forgotten about eating it on our one year anniversary since we were on vacation at that time.

To our surprise, once we unwrapped it, it was still in pretty good condition. All the gumpaste flowers were still intact!

We decided to give it a try, and it was still so good! It was vanilla cake with lemon filling. We had three different cake flavors, but we didn't eat or try that one at our wedding. It tasted so good almost a year and a half later. I can only imagine how good it must have tasted that day!
It was so much fun finding the cake and having all the memories come running back to us, as we enjoyed some of our wedding cake.

The Castaway

Before we got married, Josh and I decided that we would go back to The Castaway to celebrate our anniversary every year. This year we were in Antigua on our anniversary, so we went the following week.

The view is just amazing as I remember it!

Josh had a great idea. Every year we will take a picture of the view from the same spot, to see how it changes over the years.

We had a great meal, and some happy hour beer. Their happy hour is from 6pm-8pm, which is prime time drinking time! We were still on vacation the week after we got back, so it was ok to drink on a Thursday night.
As we were walking out I noticed some familiar pictures on their wall. Yep, that is right....they had our ceremony in a big frame on the wall.

Then we looked at the smaller pictures and noticed the two that were in the Waikiki room were of our reception. I was so excited. We were never told that our pictures might be displayed, so I was shocked and happy!
It was great to go back to the place we got married and think of our wedding day. We look forward to going back every year.

What a vacation!

To celebrate our one year anniversary we went to Antigua. It is such a beautiful island. Craig and Val also joined us. This was the first time they have been out of the country. It was such a great experience to share together.

This is our resort that we stayed at.

This is our room. We also had concierge service. It was pretty amazing. There was a fully stocked bar that we enjoyed.

The view from our room. I would sit there every morning while Josh was asleep and just relax. It was hard to believe that I was in such a beautiful place.

This is one of the restaurants in the resort called "Barefoot by the Sea".

There was a public beach at our resort, so they had it gated off. This is the view from our resort.
One of the path that we walked on frequently. So pretty. Everything was just so green.

One day we went to the city. Everything was really colorful. I bought a Guess purse.....duty free!!

As we were walking to catch a cab to the city, it started pouring rain. We were all soaked, but decided to go to the city anyways. It worked out fine, the rain stopped, and we all eventually dried.
Our 2nd night in Antigua was our 1 year anniversary. We went to a nice Italian restaurant and had a romantic dinner. We decided to take a picture that looked like one you would take a your high school prom.

One of the days we did a sunset catarmaran cruise. We toured the island and drank champagne and beer. It doesn't get better than that! This was one of the guys working the boat.
As this point I am starting to get pretty tan.
Cruisin' on the catarmaran.
We spent most of our days at the pool. The pool was huge, and had a great swim-up bar.
On vacation, I got to read, tan, drink, and relax. It doesn't get better than that.

All of us with our favorite island drinks. Everyday they had a "drink of the day". Craig made sure to sample it everyday. Craigs job on the vacation was to fetch us drinks from the bar. He did an amazing job.
We went snorkeling. This was Craig and Val's first time to snorkel. Even though we all had a life jacket on, at one point Josh and I looked over and saw Craig flailing his arms like he was drowning. It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen!

One day we did the water bike. That is much harder than it looks. We didn't get out very far before I realized my legs were tired and we needed to turn back.

We only went to the beach once. The water was heavenly. It felt like bath tub water.
The trip was so much fun. It is amazing how fast 8 days can go when you are just relaxing. I really missed my Bailee while we were gone, so that was the only thing keeping me from staying in Antigua!

Doggie Play Date

This weekend my friend Lauren got a new White Golden Retriever named Bella.
So adorable.
This face is too cute for words!

All three of the dogs relaxing together.

It seems that Retrievers have the same traits.

Bella really wanted to play with Bailee, but Bailee wasn't interested.

Bailee growled at Bella everytime she came near her tennis ball. But that didn't stop Bella from loving Bailee.

And Layla loved Bella, but Bella was a little intimidated by Layla's size.

Corinna's Visit

My sister came to visit us a couple of weeks ago. My brother was also supposed to come, but he had to work :-(. I only get to see Gage and Corinna once a year, so we end up doing a lot of stuff in a very short amount of time.

The first night Corinna was here, we decided to make smores on the stove. It wasn't as easy as you would think. It takes patience in order to not burn the marshmallow.

The second day Corinna was here we went to Disneyland. I haven't been since the last time I went with Gage and Corinna, and Josh hadn't been their in 10 years. This was Indiana Jones and our 1st ride of the day. It was super cold, and Corinna and I were dressed for warm weather. It rained a little as we were walking in to the park.

Craig, Val, and Jen also came. Everyone but I went on the teacups. I didn't want to trigger a migraine, so I passed on that ride.

Corinna really wanted to get her picture taken with one of the Disney characters, so Josh and I decided we might as well do the same. Goofy must have had a crush on me, as he was trying to push Josh away while we were taking the picture and then afterwards he pulled me in for a hug. Can you say CREEPY!

Here we are freezing! No summer weather for Corinna that day.

The next day we were planning on going to the beach but it was too cold, so we went shopping and then came home and relaxed. (It wouldn't be a real blog if Bailee didn't make it in at least one of the pictures).

The final day of Corinna's visit we went to Glen Ivy. We lounged in the pools, did the aloe vera grotto, red clay pool, ate and so much more.

After Glen Ivy it was off to the airport. Glen Ivy was such a good way to end our trip. We were nice and relaxed and got to spend some good quality sister time together. I can't wait for our next visit!

30th Birthday

Josh turned 30 on April 15th. So I planned a surprise party, or at least I tried to make it a surprise. I had Josh's friends Kirk and Danny take him golfing while I (with the help from Craig, Val, Jen, and Jeremy) got the house ready for the party. There was a lot to do in only 4 hours. Planning a surprise party when you live with a person is very tricky. Josh was suspicious, but wasn't sure, so he was at least a little surprised.

When Josh first got home we made him take a Jaeger shot immediately. That is why he is making that face in the picture.
Josh really liked Bailee that night. He wanted to hold her all night long (must have been the alcohol).

Zach and Tracy acting silly for the camera.

We had lots of food and lots of drinks for everyone to enjoy. We had darts, beer pong, a fire pit and the pool table to keep everyone busy.

We had a great turn out for the party. We got to see lots of friends that we don't see very often.

Even some of my OC friends were able to make it to the party, so that was fun.

A big thanks to everyone who made it to the party. You helped make this day very special for Josh! And for those of you that we didn't see, maybe we can see you at his 40th birthday party!
